The girls were with it by 11am, and at 1pm we set out, a shop to visit – and to be seen visiting it, a quick two thousand Euro.

After the appearance, just thirty minutes of being snapped and being seen chatting to shoppers, Rolf drove us to the airport, hugs and kisses goodbye after a few plans had been discussed, and I flew back to the UK, landing in the dark with a bump, Bonza waiting for me.

We set off back in the rain.

‘So, this movie, you got a role for me to play?’ Bonza began.

‘I could think one up. You want your brother in on it?’

‘Why not, sounds like fun.’

‘Start working hard at the gym, you can be a pair of hired assassins. Lose some stomach fat.’

‘I’m looking better these days, and we get to the gym a few days a week.’

‘Still doing the painting and decorating?’ I asked.

‘Yeah, on and off. It’s not bad money, but it’s not every day.’

‘Welcome to my world,’ I quipped. ‘I make great money, but not every day.’

Back at the house I sat with my parents for a cup of tea and a chat, then sat with my computer for an electronic chat with a few glass customers, questions and comments for Pete Granton, Bob Turnball and Trish.
